Catalogue Countdown Day 6

Todays card is featuring the

PLEASANT POPPIES
Stamp Set
Another of my favourite Stamp Sets and this one uses a cool faux watercolour technique taught to me by a co-team member Pippa Jones. An amazing Card Crafter.

The backgrouund stamp image was stamped using Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Once cool, the stems and flowers have been 'painted' using a blender pen and a combination of colour lifted from Melon Mambo and Old Olive ink pads.

Next I selected a section of the stamp that I wanted to 'pop up' and repeated the above steps and used the 2 1/2" circle punch to die cut the section I had chosen. I used Stampin Dimensionals to create depth. The butterflies from the Pappillon Potpourri stamp set were stamped onto Vellum in Old Olive ink, and die cut using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches and adhered to the card using mini Glue Dots.

The card was finished with some Cherry Cobbler bakers Twine (retiring), and a label was die cut using the Modern Label punch, ready for a sentiment to be mounted onto it (that way most of the stamps in the Itty Bitty Sentiment stamps will fit into the word window punch).

I prefer to make most of my cards as 'Any Occasion' cards and attach the sentiment once a customer (or me) has selected the sentiment they want.

When I go to Craft Fairs, I tend to take the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set, along with the modern label and word window punches. It makes the card more personal for the customer, and the one stamp set covers most occasions.
