Stamp Set Showcase Week One (1)

Today sees the start of our Weekly Stamp Set Showcases. This will be 7 daily blogs, using the same stamp set for the whole week. And to kick things off we are going to be showcasing

BY THE TIDE stamp set.

I LOVE this stamp set, as it is great to use for male and female recipients,

Now I cannot take credit for kicking off with this stunning project, as today's 3D project was designed by my pal & Team mate, Pippa Jones, over at Paper Piskies ... an amazing paper crafter who always inspires me!!!!

Anyway, it was Pippa's turn to host the  Keeene Krafters Team Meeting this month, and the challenge for the swaps/make & Takes was a be 3D project . Pippa designed this fab tissue box and I had a wail  of a time making this.

It also introduced me to the shaving foam technique, which I am addicted to! The magic that happens when you swirl a two or three drops drops of re-inkers (you need 3 different colours) into cheap shaving foam, sqig it down using the glossy side of photographic paper, lift it up gently, wipe off the excess shaving foan from the top piece of cardstock and you have  fab background for all kinds of stamp sets.

And this was the background created with this technique ... fab huh? The shaker frame porthole also contained some seed beads for sound and visual dimensions. I am SO going to enjoy playing with this technique to create all kinds of backgrounds ... and of course I will post the results of my experiments here.

This was the other side of the box, using Japanese paper that was torn and overlapped to give a seaside scene, and we even had to make the teeniest birds in the world!

I think I will be using this template to make some amazing handmade gifts for my family, but I may even make a few for my craft stall events :)

And what is fabulous, is that I have 2 large containers of seaside goodies that I could use for similar versions of this tissue box.
