Although I am feeling rather under the weather with a nasty infection, I still thoroughly enjoyed todays Class. We were prepping for gingerbread men banners, Gift Bows in a range of colours , patterns, and different stylings for the the
Curvy Treat Box including witches, pumpkins, santa's penguins and more ... as in readiness for a Group tutorial I will be delivering in a couple of weeks time,
But for today, I am showcasing the first of this weeks Autumnal cards, it is simplistic, stylish, unisex and understated, with the GOOD GREETINGS Hostess sentiment stamp taking centre stage.
The photo's don't do justice the the real physical card, but hope you can see that with your artistic eye.
Begin by Creating your card blank by trimming a piece of A4 Basic Black cardstock to 15cms x 30cms
Score the long side at 15cms, fold along the score line and burnish with your bone folder. Put to one side.
Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 14.5cms x 14.5cms
Get you Brayer, and the following ink pads
So Safron
Calypso Coral
Pear Pizzaz
Begin with the Lightest colour and working to the darkest. Try to get isolated corners of isolated colour, and other areas where the colours blend together, keeping a graduated distribution of colour and one corner with just a wisp of colour.
Get out your Scoring Tool with the metric plate in place and scpre each edge at 1cm & 2cms, with the embossed side to the brayered side of the panel (i.e. place the cardstock brayered side down on the metric plate.
Trim another piece of Whisper White cardstock to 9cms x 9cms, and brayer with Pear Pizzaz ink, and ink the edges of the cardstock using the ink pad and a sponge dauber.
Then trim a final piece of Whisper White cardstock to 6cms x 6cms and brayer with Calypso Coral ink
Ink the edges with Pear Pizzaz ink
Stamp the 'I Love You' stamp in the centre of this panel.
Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse of all 3 panels, and mount the panels on top of one another (largest at the bottom to the smallest at the top)
Thread a piece of Pear Pizzaz1/4" Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon between the bottom two panels and tie a bow
Add a few Basic Rhinestones and you are done!
