Stamp Set Showcase Week 9 (2)

So how have you guys spent your Saturday?
Me, well I have been recovering after attending a friends wedding last nighm and I have been working on a secret mini beanbag project for a client
It is all very hush hush, so I cannot say anything ... I thought I had left confidentiality contracts behind me in my past careers as a Clerical Officer for Customs and Excise, and later as a Nurse.
Strange how life sends its twist and turns isn't it ;)

But back to the order of the day

Todays Perfect Pennants project includes making some fun blue skies using a Tea Lace Doily, Stampin Sponges and some Blue ink.

Time to get creative ...

Begin by making your card blank by trimming a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 14.8cms x 21cms
Score the long side at 10.5cms, fold on the score like and burnish with your bone folder

Next you are going to create that sky
Take your Tea Lace Doily and place it over the one corner of your card blank (in landscape orientation)
Ink up your sponge with Night of Navy ink, and sponge along the scallop edge and also through the small doiuly pattern. Reposition the doily and repeat. Keep repositioning the doily and sponging  until you have covered the card front.

Next, you are going to use a retired DSP that was in the Weekly promotions, ... or was it last weeks weekly deals! My memory is terrible at the moment!
If you don't have any Tea For Two DSP left in your stash, you can substitute any Designer Series Paper in it's place.
Trim a 2cm x 14.8cms strip of DSP, sponge the edges and attach to the lower third of your card blank using Tombow MP Glue
Stamp your Sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto Soft Suede cardstock. Die cut using the corresponding Banners Framelits Die and your Big Shot machine.
Next, die cut the next size up Banners Framelits die using Night of Navy cardstock.
Dry emboss this banner using the Arrows TIEF. Mount the sentiment onto the dry embossed  Arrows label using Stampin Dimensionals. Apply Dimensionals tot he back of the dry embossed label and attach to the card blank.

To finish, stamp a couple of hearts (in the Perfect Penants stamp set) in Night of Navy ink onto Soft Suede cardstock. Die cut them using the Hearts Framelits collection. Apply to the card blank using Stampin Dimensionals. Add a few Basic Rhinestones and you are finished for today.
