Stamp Set Showcase Week 14 (1) An Open Heart

Welcome Back for the start of anotherr
Stamp Set Showcase

And this week it

AN OPEN HEART STAMP SET

This week begins with a Candle project
This is so easy and would make a fabulous Christmas Gift, Table Dressing, or just on the Mantle of your Fireplace at Christmas. The red  Glimmer paper adds that essential glitteryness that we all enjoy at Christmastime

You will need a cathedral candle, and some cream Tissue Paper, plus a heat tool.

Stamp the leaf stamp in Old Olive ink and the bird in Soft Suede onto the tissue paper

Stand your candle on a piece of paper to catch any  wax drips.

For this technique to work without ugly rippling, you need to pull the tissue paper taught, but mind you don't tear the tissue,
Switch on your heat tool and heat the candle with the stamped tissue paper on top. You will quickly see that the wax begins to seep through the tissue paper . Continue all the way around the candle until the tissue paper is no longer visible. Turn off your heat tool and allow the candle to cool.

 Now for the decoration.
From the bottom of the candle up. Begin by trimming a piece of Red Glimmer Paper to 5cms x 30cms, and use the confetti Stars Punch to stars the length of the strip. Wrap around the base of the candle.
On top of this you want to wrap around a piece of Burlap Ribbon.
Above that, wrap around a piece of Cherry Cobbler Sheer Cotton Ribbon and tie a bow.

Punch some leaves from gold Glimmer Paper using the Bird Builder Punch, Make sure you punch the sings as well as the leaves.
Adhere these to the front of the candle using Glue Dots
Die cut 3 Spiral Flowers using some of the Under The Tree Specialty Designer Series Papers.

Use your bone folder to begin curling the flower,, then use your scoring tool to quill the roses. Attach the roses to the ribbons using Glue Dots

Attach the punched leaves to the Candle using Glue Dots
Use the Red and Gold Punched Bird Wings and attach these upside down to the candle front using Glue Dots.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL DECORATIONS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE LIGHTING THE CANDLE.
