Phew, what a busy day ... I have two large Christmas Card Classes coming up over the next few days and I have been busy designing the cards & Tags today, as well as making up the kits.
We are going for gold to see if they can get through 4 Cards & Tags in 4 hours ..
One class is complete novices, and the other class have had a few sessions and are doing well with learning new techniques etc.
My workshop looked like a bomb site at 7pm this-evening, but thankfully, it tidies up quickly, ready for me to get everything out again in the morning.
And my online follollowers will be able to share in having a go at the classes, as I will be posting them on here as part of the 25 Days Advent Countdown blogposts ...
Today, I am using the wonderful POSTCARD stamp
If you are tempted to purchase this stamp, I would recommend paying the extra and getting the wood mounted stamp.
Todays card co-ordinates with another of the Simply Stars Kit from the Autumn/Winter Supplement.
They are on;y availabe until they are gone, and Stampin Up will not be re-ordering any of the stocks in the supplement. So when they're Gone, They're Gone!
This A6 card, has a top layer of Whisper White cardstock that has been stamped with a combination of both Silver & Gold Encore Ink Pads, in combination with the Many Merry Stars Stamp Set.
The greeting was stamped onto the Postcard layer, and matted onto Reg Glimmer Paper. Do use Stampin Dimensionals when mounting cardstock onto the Glimmer Paper as it has a more successful adhesion.
The Sentiment Stamp has been stamped onto the stamped layer using Cherry Cobbler Ink.
These layers are then matted (layered) onto a piece of the Under The Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper (in fact it is a double sided printed Kraft cardstock).
I fo my layers in 0.5cms increments
Finally, mount the topper onto the card blank using a tiny amount of Tombow MultiPurpose Liquid Glue.
So layer one - 20cms x 14.3cms
layer two - 9.8cms
Layer three - 8.5 x 13.83cms
etc, etc
