Sale A Bration 2015 Week 2 Day 6

HELLO LIFE

is the stamp set for today, along with a little Happy Heart and a Butterfly

Happy Heart is the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder used today.

I trimmed two pieces of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to 4cms x 12 cms. These were dry embossed using the Happy Heart TIEF
These two embossed pieces of cardstock were mounted onto the outside edges of a 12.5 x 12.5cms piece of Chocolate Chip Cardstock

I then trimmed a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 3cms x 12cms
This was stamped the LOVE stamp vertically in Chocolate Chip ink, Next I stamped 3 hearts evenly down the same panel using a combination of Chocolate Chip and Cherry Cobbler ink. This panel was adhered to the center of the Choc Chip panel (i.e. between the two embossed panels), and added a few small punched hearts from Choc Chip cardstock ) I used scraps of cardstock with the Confetti Hearts Punch).

Finally, the butterfly .... I used the medium sized Butterfly framelit. Now this is a fairly intricate die and getting all the teeny pieces cut cleanly can be tricky. I have found the following sandwich for my Big Shot worked well:

(1) Standard Cutting Plate
(2) Tumble Dryer Sheet
(3) cardstock
(4) piece of wax paper (the kind used to wrap sarnies)
(5) butterfly framelit (blades down)
(6) Standard Cutting Plate

Run this through your Big  Shot a couple of times

The wax paper makes it easy to remove the die cut from the die, and the dryer sheet acts as a temporary adhesive that all those teeny bits of waste cardstock stick to as you lift up the die cut (well almost all) and what few bits are left, can be poked out easily using a piercing tool.

Mount the butterfly using a Glue Dot and then add a large Basic Pearl and the job is done!
