Sale A Bration 2015 Week 4 Day 1

A HAPPY THING Stamp Set (SAB)
Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper (DSP) (SAB)
Coupled with Blendabilities (Daffodil DelightP
& Window Frame Framelits

I began by using my Stampin Sponges (each sponge I cut into 6 segments) in a combination of Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Classic ink Pads. Alternatively you could spritz the ink on or even drag the ink pads across the emboss resist paper to create more interest. Just remember to gently rub the resist paper with a piece of Kitchen Towek to remove any residual ink

I then stamped the Lemon image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Whisper White cardstock (it helps prevent the ink from bleeding out). give a few moments for the ink to dry, and then you can begin colouring with your Blendability Pens.
I always work light to dark - just personal preference. You do need to keep a highlighted area to give that 3D effect. The Blendability Assortments come in pack of 3 (3 different shades of the same colour labels Light, Medium, Dark)

I give an all over paint of the image using the brush tip with the light pen.
Then use the nib end on the medium pen and makes tiny zigzag movements close together, following all the way around the image lines leaving 1-2mm from the edge.
Repeat with a narrower edge of the zigzag using the dark pen, and finally finish by going over the whole image again using the light pen with the brush tip.

Next, die cut your image using the best fit of the Window Frames Thinlets & apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse
Then die cut the next up size of framelit and die cut that using Old Olive cardstock, and apply Dimensionals to the reverse.
Layer up the labels and mount onto your card front.
Stamp the 'Love Life' stamp, die cut using the smallest of the Framelits and ink the edges with residual ink on your sponge, apply a dimensional to the reverse and adhere to your card front
Mat (layer)onto a piece of  Whisper White Cardstock and mount onto your card blank

You could also Add additional Lemons to the project by using a masking technique. View the video below for a tutorial on the technique
