Sale A Bration Week 3 Day 4

Today I have a stamp set fusion for you
A combo of

Moon Lake & Gorgeous Grunge

Now gorgeous grunge is a highly underrated stamp set .... take it from me, if you have Gorgeous Grunge in your Stamp Collection, you will ALWAYS be able to create beautiful backgrounds.
Between the splatter stamp, the splodge stamps, the straight line stamp and the Chevron stamp, the creative possibilities are endless.
Whenever I demonstrate at craft fairs, I ALWAYS take along these Glorious stamps.
Use tone on tone to create subtle watermark like backgrounds, or go with contrasting or complementing colours for a more in your face background. I have quite a few Gorgeous Grunge fusion cards coming up over the next week to show you (I hope) just how versatile the stamp set can be.
If you are stumped for colourschemes, ... just pop over to my Pinterest account (click on the logo on this blog) and there is a whole board dedicated to colour combo's

And the purpose of my ramblings@ Well todays card of course. This wonderful picture of a bird perched on a branch above Moon Lake immediately made a link with Gorgeous Grunge, because of the splashes and spoldges reminded me of the water falling on lake, of the splashes as fish thrust themselves out of the lake in search of flying insects, and the straight line stamp can create a wood like surface that is reminiscent of logs I would sit on whilst fishing, or the trees in full leaf with those gnarled tree trunks ... and the Lost Lagoon seemed the perfect partner with Crumb Cake for the water and bark colours in nature,
The Linen Thread came out too as I thought of the nesting birds and ducks, the fluff on the Bulrushes

The images are stamped in Soft Suede ink, and die cut using a couple of the Tags in the Chalk Talk Framelits
I hope you like todays card, and please do share your own makes using Gorgeous Grunge as I would love to see what you do with this glorious stamp set??

PRODUCT OF THE WEEK

Lotus Blossom Stamp Set #139143:
This gorgeous stamp set makes anyone feel like an artist in three quick steps. It creates a beautiful flower that looks painted, but it is amazingly easy. The individual stamps have a tab at the top to help you align them, and the tabs are numbered so you will know which part of the flower to stamp first, second, and third. Try playing around using one ink pad with the stamping off technique, or multiple different ink pads to create many different looks.
