Today is a Blendability Day and this cute  HEY VALENTINE stamp Set is the perfect partner for Stampin Up's Alcohol pens

There other 3 stamps in the set include:

A Loved up Fox

A Love Bird

And a lovable rougue of a Pirate

But I was taken by this little school of loved up fish

For the colour scheme, I went with Bermuda Bay, Baked Brown Sugar and Whisper White

The Baked Brown Sugar layer was stamped with  the new Something Lacy Background Stamp for a tone on tone finish.

The Bermuda Bay was dry embossed with Happy Heart TIEF, another newcomer in the Spring/Summer Catalogue and pitched perfectly for Valentines Day and the Wedding Season.

The image was stamped with Black MEmento ink (to prevent bleeding of the inks in the Blendabilities pens)l

When colouring with Alcohol pens, I always start with the lightest colour in the assortment and building the the darkest or more intense colour in the assortment. I then finish by going over an area of colour with the lightest colour again, as I find this is the best way of blending the inks.

I used a combination of the following assortments:

Pumpkin Pie

Dafodill Delight

Berrmuda Bay

& 

Pink Pirouette

And a final embellishment of a few Basic Rhinestones added to the Heart Shaped bubbles.
