Sale A Bration 2015 Week 7 Day 6

Mothers Day is coming, so I hope you are already thinking about the Cards you are going to write to your Mum's/
If you are a vintage kinda woman, I may just have the answer for you with a combination of 
Sweet Laughter Stamp Set  & Something Lacey Stamp Set


styled this card on memories of old an old dictionary I had as a child, well read, and the leather binding was well worn
This is back in the day where every child had their own Collins Dictionary
In fact I remember going to the printers my Dad worked at, and he gave me to teeniest dictionary I have ever seen, and I cherished it!

Cardstock in Whisper White

Accessories:

Skin Tone Blendability Assortment
Artisan Embellishment Kit
Banner Punch
Linen Thread


Begin by trimming a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 14.3 x 10 cms
Ink up your Something Lacey stamp with Coastal Cabana ink and stamp onto the trimmed Whisper White cardstock (i,e, card front) Once dry, sponge the edges of the cardstock with Crumb Cake ink and also distress random areas of the cardstock.
Next stamp the Dictionary on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock using Black Memento Ink and colour in using the Skin Tone Blendability assortment.

Once you have coloured in the dictionary mount it out and mount it onto the card front using Stampin Dimensionals.
Next stamp the MOTHER definition in Black Memento ink and stamp onto a scrap of cardstock. Trim to a width of 1.5 cms and create banner end to the label by inserting the strip of stamped cardstock in through the top of the Banner Punch, guiding it through the cutting blades,and punch. Repeat with the opposite end. Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse side and stick onto the cardstock. Finish by attaching some of the metal & resin embellishments, plus some basic pearls in the Artisan Kit, using Glue Dots. Maked a small bundle of Linen Thread, tie with a knot in the middle and  adhere to the card front using , adhere to the card front using a couple of Glue Dots.
