Butterfly Basics Meets Zig Zag Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Happy Monday to all my followers and any new followers to my blog too.
I do have an apology to make because I didn't get around to publishing a blog post yesterday, but I do have a good excuse!

One of out oldest and dearest friends came over for the day yesterday. He was Best Man at mine and Steve's wedding 15 years ago, and he came along with his partner,

We had a great day, We cooked roast pork with really crackly crackling, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding (pop overs) and veg with Apple Sauce on the side (I just had the veggie components of the main meal.

We then picked fresh rhubarb from the garden to make a lovely jubbly orange, rhubarb and ginger crumble .... hmmmm

We then spent the afternoon amongst out menagerie of animals (dogs, pygmy goats, honey bees, chickens, cavies (guinea pigs) and rabbits.
It was a beautifully sunny and warm day, but my back and wounds were achy by the time out friends left and I did try putting my laptop onto my lap to type up the blog, but it was just too much weight on my sensitive legs, so for once I admitted defeat he he

So hopefully you will forgive me?

Anyway, today's blog ....

I adore the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set & Die Bundle from the Spring Summer Mini Catalogue. Unfortunately the butterfly Framelits and the Butterfly Basics Bundle are temporarily unavailable (shipping issues that are beyond Stampin Up!'s control), but I am still blogging projects using the set so when the items do arrive in the warehouse, the products will again be available for purchase via my online store.

I am also optimistically hopeful that maybe, .... just maybe .... this will be a returning favourite bundle in the up-coming Annual Catalogue.

I have used the Subtles Colour Collection Classic Ink Pads for the rubber stamping, coupled with the Zigzag TIEF that is currently on offer at a reduced purchase price as part of this weeks Weekly Deals (ends Tuesday evening), so you had better get on over to my store an place your order before losing out on bagging yourself a bargain :)

I mat (layered) the embossed card front onto Marina Mist cardstock.

And here is the tutorial:

Trim a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to size (I have used an A6 card blank here).

Stamp A combination of the flower (in Blushing Bride Ink), the Fern (in Pear Pizzazz ink) the post mark (in Marina Mist ink) and te Chevron'ish stamp (also in Marina Mist ink).

Dry emboss this stamped card front (embedded embossing) using the Zigzag TIEF.
Cut a strip of White Jute Ribbon (in the Spring/Summer Catalogue) and knot it in the middle. Wrap around the cardfront and secure at the back of the cardstock using some Sticky Strip,
Mat onto a piece of Marina Mist Cardstock.

Stamp your sentiment using a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set onto Blushing Bridge cardstock and die cut using the curved Bitty Banner Framelit. Attach a couple of Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse of the label and attach to the cardfront.

Finish by mounting your cardfront on the A6 White Card Blank.

And there you have it, a quick, and fairly simple card to make.

I look forward to seeing you a little earlier in the day, tomorrow :)
