Painted Petals & Cannery Framelits Dies

Welcome to Thursday. We are now officially over half way through the week, so that means we are almost at the weekend!! I hope you all have something nice planned as the weather here in the UK is forecast to be good ... and I know my hubby is hoping to get the coals on the BBQ
We just love eating alfresco.

And when we entertain, we like to use honey jars filled with flowers and/or foliage from out garden.
So when I saw that the Cannery Framelits Dies were among this weeks, WEEKLY DEALS, I just had to have a go at replicating what we do here. So here is my jar of flowers, I hope you like it?

I have used the Brights Colour Collection Classic Ink Pads, plus the Pear Pizzazz ink pad from the Subtles collection for contrast in the leaves. The Stamp Set is a combination of Painted Petals, and these almost look like sweetpeas, without the tendrils? The Sentiment comes from, From The Garden Stamp Set. The die cut was wrapped with Linen Thread around the neck of the die cut jar after stamping the stems, leaves and sponging to create the water in the jar,

I am only going to explain how I created the jar and bouquet.

I began by creating a mask using the Jar using the Cannery Framelits to die cut a post it note. Make sure you get the neck of the jar along the sticky part of the Post-it Note.
Place the mast on the Whisper White Card front and stamp your flowers and leaves. I used a combination of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink pads. With Old Olive for and Pear Pizzazz for the stems/leaves.

Remove the mask and die cut your Jar using Whisper White Cardstock. Stamp your stems and leaves using a combo of the two greens used on the bouquet. Make sure the stems begin right down at the base of he jar. Now sponge the edges the the jar using Coastal Cabana ink, and gently add colour to the jar, ensuring there is more on one side than the other. Go gently with this so you do not overdo it.
Tie some linen thread around the neck of the jar several times and tie a small bow. Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse and attach to the card front almost matching the alignment of the stems to allow for the appearance of water displacement.
Stamp your sentiment in the bottom right of the card and mat onto Old Olive cardstock. and adhere to your Whisper White card blank.
