An Open Heart watercolour

After a sleepless night last night (because our Dog Megan was extremely unsettled following her surgery the other day), I am rather foggy headed today, and the poor old grey brain cells are not firing on all cylinders today, so I am keeping the post fairly short (for me anyway).,
Todays project is another that I have cased from the Stampin Up! Demonstrators magazine, Impressions and on days like these, when inspiration is in short supply, it is lovely to have something to fall back on and change up a little to your version of a card.

I so love the sentiments from An Open Heart Stamp Set. They convey so much and are so suited for those moments when you just want someone you care about, to know you are thinking of them, whatever the reason.

Here is a list of the products used for today's card with three substitutions
Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock now sold out, so I substituted Soft Suede Cardstock

Coastal Cabana Cardstock is no longer available, so I substituted Marina Mist Cardstock
And Finally The Hearts Framelits are now sold out, so I have substituted the Sweetheart Punch

I do apologise, and I do regularly check availability before making and posting a card, but as we get closer and closer to the big reveal of the new Annual Catalogue, stocks of retiring products are running out rapidly.

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

So to make this card, you want to begin with the watercolour, so the cardstock can dry whilst you are preparing the other elements to the card. Or, like me, speed up the process with your heat tool.

Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 19 x 9 cms and fill your Aquapainter with water
Release some water, then moisten the cardstock (leave a order around the edge with no ink/water)
Pop a drop of Crumb Cake Ink Refill into a small container and add a few drops of water. Pick up the paint with your Aquapainter and create a rough background. Do not be too precious about this.

Whilst waiting for the card stock to dry, you want to trim some further pieces of cardstock.

Begin by trimming a piece of Soft Suede cardstock to 9.4 x 9.4 cms
Trim a piece of Marina Mist Cardstock to 12 x 12 cms.
Using the Marina Mist Classic Ink Pad, and the leaf stamp from An Open Heart Stamp Set, Randomly stamp the Marina Mist layer for a tone on tone effect. If you want a more defined colour, go for Night of Navy ink pad.
Die cut or punch a heart from a scrap of watercolour cardstock (it has a lovely texture to it).
Now stamp your main sentiment onto a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock usingSoft Suede 9or Early Espresso) Classic Ink Pad. Trim the stamped sentiment cardstock to 1.5 cms deep, and create Banner Ends by inserting the cardstock through the top, and NOT the front of the punch.
Using the same ink pad, and once your watercolour panel is dry, stamp the secondary sentiment at the bottom right of the small panel.
Add a couple of torn piece of Stacked With Love Designer Series Washi Tape
Attach the heart to the watercolour panel using  Fast Fuse Adhesive. Remember to make a 'Tick' Mark' to break the adhesive, or you will nd up with a stringy mess that can gunk up the cassette too.
Attach a couple of Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse or the sentiment banner and attach so it goes across the heart.
Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse and mount onto your Marina Mist Stamped cardstock to pop up that sentiment.
And finally, adhere to the front of a white 6" square (15cms sq) White Card Blank
And there you have it ... now go enjoy .... Me ... I am off to browse my new Catalogue that arrived with my Order containing my new catalogue Pre-Order Products ... Guess who intends to lock herself in her workshop all weekend then?
