I Chose Happiness

What a lovely card I have for you today.

CHOOSE HAPPINESS
Stamp Set
Is a roll over product from last years catalogue
For some reason, I kept putting off purchasing it last year, even though it is a very ME stamp set
So I added it to my first order from the 2015-16 Stampin Up! Catalogue

I decided to play around with the ink pads and cardstock from the Brights Colour Collection.

I have a tendancy to overlook these vibrant colours, in favour of In Colours and Neutrals
and I am so pleased I decided to have my play, as I really like how Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive work together. There is a little black Stazon in there for the sentiment and the bird.

Below are the products I have used today

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

I used Melon Mambo cardstock to make my A6 card base
I then trimmed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock for my next layer

I stamped the bottom right with the 'when I need A Friend' sentiment, using Black Stazon.
Then I used Melon Mambo ink to stamp the border stamp across the centre panel
I cut a tea lace doily in half, and folded and edge over to adhere it to the back of the Very Vanilla cardstock. Stick it down onto the front of the panel using a little Fast Fuse
Next I worked on the toppers.
The first was the flower, stamped using Rich Razzleberry onto Very Vanilla cardstock., and trimmed to a square and mat onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock

I stamped a couple of leaves onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Old Olive ink, and used my paper snips to cut them out.

Next, I stamped the woodgrain banner using Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut using the Banner Framelits. I cut this in half across the middle, and adhered the two pieces behind the floer panel to give the effect of a longer banner.I attached this to the left hand side of panel using Stampin Dimensionals to pop it up.

Now for the last few steps
Stamp the 'chose happiness' stamp onto very vami;;a cardstock using Black Stazon, ad colour in the lines using the Melon Mambo Stampin MArker, using the brush tip with a very light hand.
Punch this out using the Decorative Label Punch. Punch two more labels, one from Melon Mambo and one from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock.
Cut one in half lengthways, and the other in half across the middle.
Mat the corresponding pieces onto the back of the stamped label using a little Tombow Multipurpose Glue. Add stampin Dimensionals to the reverse side.
Adhere the leaves to the card front, and mount the layered label onto the card front.
Finally, stamp the bird using Black Stazon, and colour it in using the Melon Mambo Marker, Use your paper snips to cut the bird out. Add a stampin Dimensional to the back of the bird and mount it over the leaves as shown above.
