Every Day Chic Happy Birthday to Everyone

Today was the day we though my Dad a surprize 75th Birthday Party, and it was lovely to catch up with our children, Grandchildren, my 3 younger Brothers, our many nieces and nephews and my own Aunt & Uncle.
Thankfully the weather help of and it was sunny sky's all the way.

And so today is the first part of a 2 day share
Today I am sharing with you my gift wrapping solution for the 24 year old Whisky we bought my Dad,

The liquor came in a beautiful black embossed presentation box, and it was so lovely, that I simply wanted to use the box as the base for some additions of my own.

First I made two Belly Bands using the Everyday Chic Designer Series Papers; one was  15 cms wide )the hand carved chevron paper).
The second was 7.5 cms wide, from the white on black hearts paper from the same DSP pack.
Fast Fuse adhesive was used to secure the overlapping ends of the belly bands.

And before proceeding, below are the Stampin Up! Products I used in todays post.

Next I used the Gift Bow Bigz L Die to create a double bow using Silver Foil Cardstock
I again used Fast Fuse to adhere the ends of the different elements that made up the bow, as it is stronger than SNAIL, and lessy messy than Tombow. This was added at a right angle to the Belly Band.

And finally, I stamped some Shimery White Cardstock with the Happy Birthday to a Wonderful Man stamps from the Happy Birthday Everyone Hostess Stamp Set.
This was die cut using the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies, and I also used the next size up framelit to die cut a piece of Silver Foil Cardstock.
I punched a small hole into the Foil tag using my Paper Piercing Tool, and threaded through a little 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, and then attached Stampin Dimensionals to the back of the stamped panel and mounted it at an angle on top of the Foil label.
I thread the ribbon through the central loop on the bow, and tied a jaunty knott.

I hope you will agree that this is an elegant packaging option, for the man that along with my Mum, brought me into the world!

In tomorrows blog post, I will finally share with you the card I made my Dad for his Birthday
That uses the new Wildernes Awaits Stamp Set.
