A Flurry of Wishes Emboss Resist Sponged Christmas Card

Today's Card is one of my favourites that I have made in the run up to Christmas (so far)
You all know how much I love sponging, especially when it includes the Emboss Resist Technique, and this card combines both.

A Flurry of Christmas Wishes

is just a beautiful and versatile Christmas Stamp Set from Stampin Up!
You will find the video tutorial, and the written tutorial further down today's blog post.

  • Make your card base by trimming a piece of Thicker Whisper White Cardstock to 14.8 cms x 21 cms; Score the long side at 10.5 cms; Fold and burnish
  • Trim a piece of regular Whisper White Cardstock to 14 cms x 9.7 cms
  • Wipe the surface of the cardstock with your Embossing Buddy (to remove static); Stamp the snowflakes using Versamark Ink Pad; Dust with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set using a Heat Tool
  • Sponge around the snowflakes using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink Pad with a piece of Stampin Sponge
  • Add depth to the snowflakes using Night of Navy Classic Ink Pad, and stamp the Sentiment in the 'white space' (i.e. in a quiet area on the card)
  • Mat (layer) onto a piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock measuring 14.4 cms x 10.1 cms using Fast Fuse Adhesive
  • Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse side and mount onto your card base
  • Finish with some Basic Rhinestones
