Stampin Up! Bakers Box in a Winter Wonderland, Oh What Fun

Today  I have a super Duper Gift Box For you
It is the Bakers Box from Stampin Up!
The project began by a desire to create a box that was embellished with this funky Real Red Pom Pom Trim
The box itself was made using the Bakers Box Thinlits Dies with Basic Black Cardstock.
The die only just fit through your big shot, so trim your cardstock to 15 cms wide before die cutting.
I always think Black Gift Boxes are super stylish and and I feel the same way about the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack (DSP). So I combined all 3 elements into the one box

The sentiment comes from two of the stamps from the Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set, which I stamped using the Archival Basic Black Classic Ink Pad onto Shimmery White Cardstock, and mat onto Silver Foil Cardstock.

Both the Video Tutorial & the Typed Tutorial can be found further down today's blog post.

Tutorial

  1. Die cut 2 pieces of Basic Black Cardstock using the Bakers Box Thinlets Dies, using the your choice of 'hole' for the handle
  2. With both handles  facing up, adhere the 2 pieces together using Tape & Tear Adhesive
  3. Fold & burnish all score lines and then adhere the other side tab to make a box.
  4. Close the base tabs using a little Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue (not PVA as that will cause the cardstock to warp)
  5. Trim  x 2 pieces of Winter Wonderland Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 6.4 x 3.6 cms and adhere to the top sections of the box (front & Back
  6. Trim x 2 pieces of the same DSP to 6.4 x 5.4 cms and adhere to the bottom sections of the box (front & back)
  7. Stamp your sentiment from the Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set, using the Archival Basic Black Classic Ink Pad, onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Punch out using the Large Oval Punch
  8. Using a scrap of Silver Foil Sheets, punch a scallop oval. Layer the 2 labels using Stampin Dimensionals and mount onto the front of the box
  9. Finish by adding some Real Red Pom Pom Trim
